I really enjoyed this interview. Great guy. I would not wish to bother this gentleman. He reminds me of my friend who was best man at my wedding. He was in the Rangers. Forced by a judge to either pay a fine and go to prison for a bit or enlist in the Army! He chose the Army. Same type of reaction or reflex happened when an armed robber in daylight was running through traffic. He just popped out of his car, tackled said criminal and disarmed him. He kept his knee on his neck until the Police arrived at the scene ! Always a soldier !
I don’t normally watch ‘extended’ recordings; however, watched this entire ride, it was interesting. My EDC is a Glock 29. I do agree with the interviewee that thinking something like a Desert Eagle .50 as an EDC piece is problematic. My immediate vision with anything like that suggestion is Jack’s Joker, in Batman, pulling that cannon out of his trousers and shooting down the bat plane. 😉
Having said all that, I do advocate carrying the ‘most gun’ you are capable of putting two shots on target at 21 feet in under 2 seconds, from concealment with. I’m a retired Marine with over 60 years of experience shooting almost anything using powder, primers, and bullets. As I said, I prefer the 29, as it is a 10mm. As someone long before me said, “Why Do You Carry A .45?” Answer: ‘Because They Don’t Make A .46!”
