“….WHY ALMOST HALF OF THE NATION CONTINUES TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE.” The only possible reason was voiced by ole Forrest years ago: “STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!” There are, sadly, MILLIONS of completely STUPID American citizens(?) that vote.
I agree. One quote that I will never forget is when President Clinton was campaigning for President, and people were asked if and why they would vote for him and the answer one young woman gave was, “because I think he’s cute”. A lot of people do their homework and read and educate themselves before casting a vote. But, too many people that just pull the lever without any idea of who or why they are voting for that candidate. That will never change.
