The former sheriff’s deputy charged in the shooting of Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old Black woman inside her Illinois home, the deputy had been employed by a half-dozen police agencies since 2020, according to state law enforcement records.

The department that hired him needs to be held accountable as well. The fact that he worked for 6 different agencies in only 4 years should’ve been a huge red flag for someone.
I was a Deputy Sheriff for the 20 years. What this guy did was an absolute disgrace. He should be tried for murder and locked up for the rest of his life.
