Thirty years ago I was a young, but highly respected scientist with nothing but good things in my future. I left science because I found the corruption, dishonesty, and outright absence of ethics or character had rendered “science” such that I could not continue to perform research. It turns out those were “the good old days” and everything has only gotten far worse. For the longest time I questioned my decision to leave research, but revelations over the last decade has removed all doubt. It was a good choice.
The only thing that will ever happen is that they will send out some “harshly worded letters”
