Was this Austin, or El Passo or Tucson and the same situation happened, the legally armed citizens would have given this fool 2 choices: put your knife down or die. This person suffered from a mental condition that he thought he was owed a free ride or he couldn’t be brought to jail. The law said, he threatened people with physical harm, even if he died in the process. Karma is a cruel mistress, he screwed up and he paid the price. Mr. Penny may have killed the man, he didn’t murder him. If I shoot a man threatening harm to me or others, it is not murder or homicide. If you bring a knife to a gun fight, you deserve what you get.
