Littering in Japan will get you 5 years in prison. We recently enacted a no bail policy for nearly everything, let in millions of strangers. Allow people to live, eat, sleep, do drugs and sh*t on the streets, in public. My dad worked in many countries, spoke several languages and would tell me all about the different cultures. The most impressive places are the ones that have pride and strict laws that they ENFORCE. Thank God he passed away before this crap started happening.
I am from Japan and love to watch your program. When we are elementary school, all students must clean classroom and bathroom. We were taught bathroom is the most important place for our life. Also we had to take moral class. I was shocked people here throw trashes while walking. Japan has culture of shame. If I become a criminal, whole family feels shameful and embarassment. My American friends feel safer and respect other culture and manner. It is different mentality, not only diversity.
