Landlords aren’t the problem in NYC, it’s the politicians wasting tax dollars on corrupt officials and illegals… the subways are a mess, crime is a mess, and the only way the Democrats know is to spend (STEAL) spend spend, and the bureaucrats raise money by taxing the real estate, roads, raising money for transportation and pocketing money by the city and state of NY!!!! Landlords have been holding people in their apartments for decades with low rent, stabilized and controlled. MEANWHILE the landlords are collecting rents at the rate of the 80’s with Taxes at the rate of 2024. That’s why there are so many vacancies. NO ONE wants to do business or rent in the city. The jobs have left the city, and without work, this why rents are so high. Landlords can’t afford the high taxes without rent to cover their costs. Even if an apartment is vacant, the taxes HAVE TO BE PAID!!! I’m sick and tired of the CROOKED DEMOCRATS THAT HAVE DESTROYED NYC… I came here in 2000, and it was other worldly. VOTE OUT DEMOCRATS!!! THEIR POLICIES ARE SELF SERVING!!!
