I agree with the rule, and since it IS in existence, it’s most probably a well-backed and believed-in rule. It should be enforced because, as he said, if it’s not, then it’s worthless. “No one is above the law”, right? I am MAGA to the bone, but were the tables reversed, I would still say that the rules were broken. That said, the skit DID have some cute/funny parts. Too bad they didn’t present them earlier when they could have been legally enjoyed. And also, too bad they didn’t use the present White House inhabitant as the focus of their skits. Talk about the material writing itself for them. They threw away a golden opportunity. No sympathy for this biased group.
