As an appraiser who drives over 3000 miles per month I’ve been pulled over plenty of times. I’ve gotten off a number of times just by being respectful and truthful. Chris Rock was right.

She didn’t give her dl to the LEO because she doesn’t have one. A license plate that doesn’t match the registered car can be a serious offense considering people do this to stolen cars. I wouldn’t have given her nearly as many chances, but he definitely got her attention.

I don’t drive a stolen car or use stolen plates and tags to avoid paying to license my car, so if a cop pulled me over and told me my plates don’t match my vehicle, the first thing I would do is compare the plates on my car to the registration certificate. If they match, we’re done. If not, then I ask how we go about correcting it.
And I don’t see the cop’s “rough handling” of the suspect as a problem. She is either driving a stolen car or she is using stolen plates. On top of that she is lying and resisting his attempts to investigate the issue (by examining the vehicle registration) or identify herself, so she obviously KNOWS its a stolen car or plates, which makes her a dangerous felon. If he wants to have dinner with his family tonight, he can’t afford to give her a chance to shoot or shank him whilst he’s gently placing her under arrest.

The majority of the people who have an attitude when stopped by a cop actually have done something wrong or have an arrest record. They exacerbate the situation by being defiant, running away, or attacking the cop.
Why identify her as black? There are many ways to describe someone. Why is the color of her skin relevant?
If she had been white .. you can bet they would have mentioned it ..just saying .
