I was a Democrat until I left CA for a better life in 1994. I never voted straight-ticket Democrat – I always voted for the person(s) that I thought would do a better job. It took a little while to realize that I was voting Republican the majority of the time. I finally registered as a Republican and have no regrets. The Dem party has gotten even worse since then. It seems that most of the Dem voters are either indoctrinated/ignorant or corrupt. Also, there are some that vote Dem because that’s all they’ve ever known. I think there’s still hope for them. I came from a household that was split – my dad was a Republican and my stepmother was a Democrat. My dad would be so proud of me! There’s still hope for people with their eyes wide open and their brain engaged.
