Weell since the 1970s(right when I got out of the military ) the “ALL American” theme of the Harley was BECOMING a myth just as false as the folks running it now …It just has a name that seems familiar ,but behind that is just an entertainment appliance ,that has become souless as everything else…..My 1980 sportster had foreign gauges, foreign front forks ,foreign ignition system,and on and on ..Now i was willing to put up with all kinds of ill regularities (I was a mechanic),back then as long as it was US made by our OWN hands and design …Last I heard they were running foreign(german) engine heads and who knows what else … So I have seen it as a CLOAKED foreign company for quite sometime ,now … Not something that comes from the CORE of America ,materially ,just by word … Whatever combination of parts they are issuing forth to me is just a confused expression verified and complimented by the folks running it now ….
