It used to be that dogs were not allowed in stores by the health dept., except for pet supply type stores. I would never try to take mine to the store with me out of respect for others besides the fact they’re not exactly leash trained, even though they’re very friendly. I think a lot changed because of the “support” dog (and other animals) mania. It’s gotten out of hand, including places that sell food.
