It’s true that no one cares about awards shows anymore, but we must acknowledge that we live in a post-comedy world. Hosts aren’t allowed to be funny, and the shows are infinitely worse because of it.
You can’t compare anyone’s performance to Ricky. Trying to compare this guy is just unfair lol. Gervais’ hosting of the Golden Globes were legendary, all of them. I still go back and sometimes listen to his old monologues.
