Love Dave Chappelle. What drives me crazy is that people want to shut comedians up. No one is leaving a Dave Chapelle show and going to do harm to trans people. His jokes are not hate speach or phobic. They are just jokes. If I don’t like a comedian, I just don’t watch them. It’s easy to create my own safe space by just not watching or listening to people I don’t want to hear.
Dave Chapelle is untouchable not only because of his immense talent and success, but everyone knows he would treat trans people with genuine respect as and when he meets them in life. He’s just a grassroots good human.
