The answer is simple. Cops love to dramatize, and the last thing they want is risk. Here, they were able to be “big shots” with no risk of ever being harmed. This is all about who is being hired in law enforcement. We have pussies being hired who abuse and misuse power, and that is all they care about besides making sure that they are personally safe. They never take on real criminals. They totally avoid dangerous people. Cops = Cowards.

I haven’t registered as a Democrat since the early 90’s. But I didn’t vote straight ticket. I voted for who I thought was best for America and just happened to vote more and more for the Republicans because I agreed with their values.
