6. I hope everyone can come together and agree that this type of behavior is unacceptable from either party. This should not be the image we want representing us to the world. Our biggest waste is paying the salaries of these people who are supposed to represent us and all they do is act like petulant 2-year-olds. Their job is to represent us and to work together for the benefit of all the citizens they represent. We have different parties to keep things in balance and no one will get everything they want. We don’t need immature, incompetent people who think their personal views are more important than the views of the people who employ them. They seem to forget that they are the employee, and the citizens are their employer. I hope the citizens continue to realize that too many of these individuals do not represent the people who elected them, we won’t see any change until we find people who care more about the citizens they represent, than they care about their perceived power, importance, and influence they think they have. People running around cussing, making TikTok videos, calling each other names, lying about each other, fabricating stories, and never accepting that the other side has some good ideas will never accomplish unity, it will only cause more division. Neither side is a hundred percent right or wrong and we need people to acknowledge this and work together to accomplish results that will work to help the country. We have to do better and that starts with electing people who will work toward this goal and stop promoting that the other party is always wrong, that they are evil and don’t care. They have resorted to foul language and disgusting behavior that they seem to think makes them look powerful and relevant, it doesn’t, it makes you look ignorant and uninformed, you are putting yourself above the position you have been elected to do. The younger members have a lot of enthusiasm, what they don’t have is any common sense, and seem to think they will get their way when they run around screaming and yelling, and some of the older members have decided to join them rather than teach them how to compromise and unite for us. They also need to learn that you can’t label every disagreement as racist, this excuse is another way to promote division when you can’t find any other reason for your disagreement, and the continued use of this statement has made it irreverent. The signs are everywhere that the younger generation thinks if they yell loud enough, make a spectacle of themselves, threaten people, they will win, and if we doubt that, all we have to do is look at what is happening on our college campuses. We have relinquished respect for other opinions to a group of people who have no respect for one another and feel they are more entitled and have the right to demand that everyone agree with them, or they will deny them any rights. What they don’t have is the courage of their supposed convictions, or they wouldn’t hide behind their masks, if they truly believed in what they are saying, they would show their face and be able to articulate why they believe what they are saying. Our colleges should teach these students how to present their views using critical thinking, without the hatred and disrespectful behavior being shown and disrupting the education of other students who have paid tuition and should be allowed to attend classes without the disruptions. The federal government should not provide any federal funding for these schools to encourage divisive behavior, rather than unite with each other. Unite does not mean total agreement or approval of everything, but we should respect our differences. These students will be our leaders one day and will need the ability to be respectful and negotiate with other world leaders, if they can’t, we will be a country incapable of helping others or even surviving.
